    Honey, let me tell you something. You make it YOUR main goal in life to show him YOU are in charge of your health and well being. You need to do this for YOU if it is what you want and feel you need.

    As to him not wanting you to do it for fear your intake will slack off your ability to be active - don't worry. You take chewable bariatric vitamins and no problem. Lap bands I don't recommend because they can slip and the long term success isn't nearly as great as with other procedures. I opted not to have the Roux -N- Y gastric bypass because I didn't want a lot of rerouting of my parts. The sleeve removes only a large part of your stomach and nothing else. All your "tubing" stays in place. You can't overeat. I went shopping for half the day with my husband 5 days after surgery. I walked MILES up and down the corridor of the hospital in the two days after surgery. Other than feeling a little twinge and soreness, today I am fully able to do just about everything. Yes, you are a little easier tired the first 5 weeks because you are on liquids first, then on creamy liquids, then on soft, moist foods until you start your "new normal" of high protein, low carb intake. Between that and those super vitamins, you will have all the energy you need and with the weight loss comes even more energy and strength! If this is what you want - YOU DO IT. If this is something you need - FIND A WAY. The power is all yours, my dear. Never give up. Never give in. emoticon

    Good luck with your otho appt! Your doctor is the best one to answer questions about exercise and recommend an appropriate routine to address your situation. I did hear recently that exercise gives better results with joint pain than supplements like glucose-amine alone.
