I am a medically retired military veteran and single mom. When I came home from Iraq in 2007, I found out that my neck had been broken for 6 months and that I had PTSD. Between the medications, surgery, and depression I put on a hundred pounds.

I have been trying to lose the weight, get back in shape, and find myself once again, but it has been hard and I tend to do a lot of self-sabotage. I have tried just about every product on the market, all kinds of different diets, and all the "magic" pills there are. Nothing has worked. I also have no real support or friends since the divorce.

I have returned home to SparkPeople in the hopes of finding the much needed support and maybe a friend of two that will keep me on track and give me a boot in the rear when I need it.

My Goals:
I want to lose 50 lbs by my 50th birthday in February.

I will do 60 minutes of cardio 5x a week.

I will lose 1-2 lbs per week.

I will drop 10% of my weight by Halloween.

To drink my water every day.

To walk 30-60 minutes/day.

My Program:
I am tracking my nutrition and fitness every day.

I am making sure I am active, even if in short bursts, every day.

I am making smart choices of what I eat and what I buy at the grocery store or ordering at the restaurant.

Personal Information:
I currently reside in Darlington, IN with my kids. I work as a school bus driver for the local school district. I love music, animals, and photography. I also love to travel and spent a month in Ireland in 2012. I am hoping to return there in 2016.
