Working toward fitness first and then a certain size or weight. I'm learning as I get older that the superficial is just that...superficial...and is secondary to health and fitness. (in other words, I've given up on losing the cellulite. ha ha)

This is my latest project: The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. I'm sure you've read them by now but I want to share them just in case.

1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don't Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you wonít be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don't Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

Fitness Minutes: 4,068

My Goals:
When I was younger, I was so concerned with the superficial aspect of fitness. I wanted to look good in a tight pair of Wranglers, but as time has gone on, I realize that health is much more important.

Also as a member of a volunteer fire department, I really need to get in better shape. Yesterday while fighting fire, I thought I was going to throw up several times. I was exhausted. So I want to be FIT.

Bottom line - goal is fitness!

My Program:
Eating healthy...adding fruit and veggies to daily diet. I used to do veggies maybe once a week - now I try to make it a point to get about five servings daily.

I''m also doing cardio and plan to add some strength training soon.

    YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for you I'm so glad that you made your goal am so proud of you - I hope I make my goal by the time I set I know this weightloss downhill run will soon come ti a slow crawlbut i'm sure with all of you behind me cheering me on i'll make it.
