Hello! My name is Angie. I joined Sparkpeople to lose about 10 pounds and get back to my weight that I was in college. I currently live in Las Cruces, NM. I just had my first baby this past August and have gained 56 pounds! I am now trying to lose the baby weight! I run 5ks, 10ks, half and full marathons as well as triathlons. I have currently ran in 7 marathons:

Women’s Nike Marathon in San Francisco
The Battan Death March, in Alamogordo, NM,
Rock ’n Roll in AZ
Denver Marathon
Duke City Marathon ( 2010, 2012)
Nashville Rock'n Roll Marathon, Nashville, TN
New York City ING 2012 ( was cancelled but is running in 2015!)

I swim with my masters swim team on Tue, Thur, and Sat mornings for cross training. I am currently trying to eat a high protein diet, lower carbs with little processed foods. My goal is to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 150 and then surpass that and get to 145! I was on the right track before the holidays hit but gained some during the holidays so now I am back to losing about 25 pounds to reach my goal of 145!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. That sucks that your husband wouldn't help with feedings or changing or anything. Did he not know before having a baby that they take WORK and that you should be a TEAM? Sorry but that makes me MAD! I breastfed so all the night feedings were up to me, but my husband did A LOT of diaper changes. There's no way he'd get out of feeding, changing, etc, for her since he watches her while I work in the evening. Ugh. I'm sorry he was being a jerk! As far as sleep goes, I know that the sleep deprivation was a MAJOR culprit to my PDD. I couldn't function. I would have dealt with Alexa's health issues MUCH better had I just been able to sleep. I look back now wishing I could have enjoyed her newborn-hood a little more. *Sigh* Not much I can do about it now except move on!

And also, Alexa sounds a lot like your little guy. She talks but only has a few words, mostly babble. She doesn't walk on her own or stand much yet. I think she CAN do it, she just hasn't realized how awesome life will be (for her!) once she actually starts walking. I worry about her, that she's not doing enough, learning enough, but I know she'll meet those milestones on her own time. I'm sure you little guy will too!

Yes, hubby and I did the 5K on Saturday. My watch said my time was about 34:37, so a good 6+ minutes better than my time in 2010, I think. I would still like to be able to run a 10 minute pace some day, but I guess I've still got some work to do! (Hubby makes me sick, he ran a 22:20!)

How are things with the (no-longer-a) baby? Miss all your updates here!

    Have a great day,
