I have been struggling with my weight since college, though wouldn't I love to even be that size now. I think I have always thought I was heavy, even when I was a size 6 in high school. That warped teen body image that always wants you to be less than what you are. So back to college, I think my metabolism shifted in my twenties, but the partying and pizza binges didn't help either. Now that I just turned 40, I think my metabolism is dead!!!! I look at food and gain weight it seems. I have two beautiful daughters, a little over two years apart. They are 7 and 5, and I am still using the excuse of getting off the baby weight. It is time to actually do something, because I am so sick of being this way!

My Goals:
My BIG, long range goal is to lose 91 pounds!

That seems a bit overwhelming, so I am focusing on 1 pound a week.

My Program:
Trying to stay on program and journal everything that I eat!

I want to work out 5 times per week. Zumba, pilates, kickboxing, all kinds of fun classes!

I am an Army brat. Before my parent's divorce, we lived all over the south. My mom, sister and I ended up in Columbus, so that is where I call "home." I graduated from Upper Arlington High School in Columbus.

    Hey Amy!! It was good to see you tonight at Bootcamp! Haven't been in that class for a year but I needed a group session tonight to help pull me through and it certainly did deliver! I see Lisa B. is still amazing and crazy! Where does she get some of those torturous moves??!! That twisting, hip dipping plank thingie...was that for real??!! Incredible! Well I'm good and tired now, going to bed before I decide that my Ambrosia apple was not a good enough snack. See ya soon again I hope. emoticon

    HI Amy! I just got back into SparkPeople for the first time in about 10 - 12 days. We made the first two training sessions (1st week only) and then have not been back since. Our work is in a temporary crisis mode for a month or so... and my team mates and I all play important roles in the recovery effort. I'm glad to see you are sticking with it. Darlene definitely kicked our tails! I was on a plateau for about 2.5 weeks, but I'm back into losing some weight the last two days (yea!). Take care. emoticon

    Training extremely challenging so far. Didn't think it would be since I'm not new to working out. Plus flared up some crazy thing with my shoulder, maybe tendonitis? Now I can't do any upper body lifting, but the lower body stuff is feeling great! Lisa W. is a great trainer and she's in RN school taking nutrition stuff now, so although she can't advise us as a nutritionist she gives great tips.

    Yes, it is a small world. I'm do not cook, but the Wild Turkey Soup does sound good. I met Darlene for the first time today when I weighed in and got my Forest green T-shirt. I've never had a trainer before and I can't wait to see what that's like... getting pushed. Good luck.

    Hi Amy! This is John, Jack's dad. Susan and Joan were discussing this website today at the pool. Joan noted that you were doing this. I didn't put two and two together. I love the website - best kept secret for the internet. I can't believe all of the content is free and the support is terrific!

    I'm looking forward to the contest. I've got one team mate trying to back out already (too many hours at work). So the Forest team may not be particularly strong.

    I hear all of the kids had fun at Chucky Cheese today. What a way to start the summer!
