Update ** 8/13/10 **

Two things today and that's about it. - I've been blogging a lot so I don't feel the need to write everything down here.

1. There's always a reason not to - the question is: Is "it" worth finding a reason TO?
2. I signed up for the CVS 5K on September 19th... (I'm scared)

Update ***7/06/10***

Okay, so I'm a little early but I'm okay with that.
Hubby and I decided over the weekend that we're going to take a cruise. So, I'm going away in February for a week, on a Mexican Riviera Cruise.

So, I did some math. I have currently been losing about 4 pounds a week on this program. This "round" ends August 26. If I continue to lose just 3 pounds a week on this program through then, I'll be 238ish. This is NOT bathing suit worthy!! =).

So, I have decided that I continue through the fall along the program. If I continue to lose 2.5 a week at that point, then I will be down to 193 which would be an amazing thing for me.

This is TOTALLY doable - for one thing, I'll probably lose 4 pounds a week for the next 2 or 3 weeks at least. I am recommitted, and have a goal so I think I'll be okay.

So, as of now, I am down 73 pounds from my start at 2/17/2010. Hopefully I can meet my desired goal.

Update ***6/15/10***
I'm getting toward the end of the program. 10 more weeks and I'll be done with this round.

I'm going to have to make a pretty difficult decision: Do I take a few months off (enjoy Christmas and Thanksgiving) or do I just keep on trucking? My husband thinks I've made up my mind, but I really haven't.

Secondly, I'm down 63.6 pounds as of 6-10-10 - This is really a big deal for me. So, thank you for all your support.

Third, I've started to kick up my workouts again. I'm now doing 15 minutes in the morning, and 20 minutes on lunch. I'll get up to 30 minutes on lunch and 15 in the morning then I'll go to 20 minutes and 20 minutes. The morning routine is much higher intensity so I need to rachet that up slower.

Progress is being made, and I am still working it. Even though I want to give up sometimes.

Update *** 5/17/10 ***
I'm eating again! One meal a day - lean protein, & veggies. Fat free / calorie free dressing and Voila, I have a meal.

It's refreshing. If I wish, I can have dinner with my husband. Or I can go out to eat. I no longer have to avoid social situations.

As far as numbers go, I'm down 52.6 pounds and 18 inches. I get measured (inches) again at the end of June. I get weighed on Thursdays.

Update ***4/20/10 ***
Well, another month down, and I'm at 30 pounds total lost from the time I started with Optifast.

I'm feeling good, and walking a lot more (4 times a week, 25 minutes a day). All this is just good stuff. Now, once school gets over I'll see where I stand with mobility and weight loss.

Update ***3/25/10 ***
So, I got back to a BAD BAD weight for me. Blood pressure was rising, and diabetes was looming in the near future.

I started the Optifast program with Miriam hospital, and I am on my way. 23 pounds down in 5 weeks.

Wish me luck!

Update *** 7/30/08 ***
I'm going to try to do this every month. I've lost 17.2 pounds so far in less than 2 months and I feel like I'm REALLY on track. for the first time in my life I feel like I control my weight instead of it controlling me. Anyone out there who thinks for a second that they can't do it, just know this: When you're ready, YOU CAN! I can, I could and I do!

My life has been all about the journey. This is just one more.

My Goals:

1. Finish Week 2 of C25K
2. Size 14 by the cruise!
3. See a loss of 100 pounds (I know, only 10 pounds away, but it's a BIG DEAL!
4. Shop for clothes at Kohl's or Marshalls (their plus size department is pretty bad so it'll make me feel good to buy something other than shoes or jewelry)
5. Take a picture every 10 pounds.
6. Break out of the 200's

I'll probably have a final goal of between 150 and 170.

My Program:
I am on the Optifast Modified Fast program with Miriam Hospital in Pawtucket, RI.

Personal Information:
I grew up and currently live in Pawtucket, RI

Other Information:
In 2005 my sister passed away from a Pulmonary Embolism. Pretty much her body was too large for her skin to contain her. She got sores and one of them formed an internal clot which moved into her lungs and killed her.
I don't want that to happen to me.
