My Goals:
1. Replace junk food snacks with healthy snacks.
2. Take my son on a walk every day, or replace with an indoor fitness activity if weather is not permitting.
3. Maintain a healthy weight (between 130 and 135)
4. Recruit and support my friends and family who want to start living healthier.
5. Keep a positive attitude and self image.
6. Cut back on alcohol consumption

My Program:
- Tracking fitness minutes
- Reducing alcohol intake
- Walking & elliptical
- Strength training 5 days per week
- Controlling emotional eating

Personal Information:
My name is Amber and I live in Charles City, Iowa. I am 28 years old and am the food manager at a convenience store. I have a wonderful, energetic, smart little boy named Rowan who was born in November 2013. I have 2 basset hounds, Dexter (10) and Spam (13.) I first became a member of SparkPeople in 2010, and have since gained back all the weight I lost before. Between having a child, some changes in positions at work, and a divorce, I fell off the wagon and got back into a lot of unhealthy habits. I'm ready to take control of my health again, and be a positive role model for my son.

Other Information:
I became a mom for the first time in November of 2013, and my whole world has changed for the better - now it's time to get back into shape and feeling better about my image.
I love animals, especially my doggies!
I also like to read. One of my favorite authors is Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club), and my favorite series is Harry Potter. A few other favorites of mine include: White Oleander, and the Hunger Games series. I'm also obsessed with scary movies.
