My name is Amanda. When I was 21 years old, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After treatment was over I stood on the scale and I was 48 pounds overweight. For two years, I went it alone trying so very hard to implement true life style changes. I exercised regularly, and I ate fairly well most of the time. Stress took its toll, and I topped the scale in January of 2007 at 224 pounds and a size 22!

From there I started coming down. Still on my own. I got down to 200 and then I slid back up to 208. At this point, I asked for help. I worked with the six weeks challenge coach at my Curves (who is an AMAZING person and an AMAZING motivator). I started tracking my calories in and out. I lost ten pounds in two months.

In January of 08, I found spark, and I have lost an additional 15 pounds and 3 clothing sizes!

All told I have lost 40 pounds, and I have another 20 to 24 to go. My husband and I are working on our lifestyle choices together, and it has been a blast so far. (A pain, but a blast.) Right now, I feel great, I fit into my 14s (and some 12s!), and I am more fit than I have been since I was in college.
