Your doing great !!!! You lost 10 lbs so far. I'm hoping now that warmer weather is here I will feel like being more active. Plus now there isn't so many Holidays or Birthdays in our family. They were all earlier the past few months. I love the comment from 1DRWOMAN. I need to copy it and take her helpful hints. I hope you had a good Easter.

    Hi Amanda!
    Welcome to Sparkpeople and congratulations!
I myself am from Chicago burbs (originally born and raised in Sheboygan Wisconsin...shhhh...don't tell anyone!) and now live in Christchurch New Zealand!

In my humble opinion, the most important thing is to track everything that passes your lips and what nutritional value it has. Eating whole foods as much as possible is fabulous! Cut out Sugar and limit your salt....drink your water...blah blah blah...you know those drills! :) I do have a baseline eating program that I give to clients and friends that helped me lose 65 pounds and I still use it today because it keeps it easy. I still use my SP trackers every day but this helps me plan my meals and what my body needs! Thought I would share it with you. :) Let me know if you have any questions! :)

    Daily nutrition.
    Everyday Eat:
    2-3 servings of fruit
    1-2 servings of dairy (milk/yoghurt)
    2-3 liters of water
5 servings/cups of non-starchy veggies (no corn, peas, sweet potatoes, etc - they go under carb count.)
at each meal (6 servings) - 1 serving lean protein (like a size of a deck of cards, palm of hand), 1 serving complex carbohydrate (size of your fist), and a healthy fat serving (size of a dice or thumb nail)
Plus a good multivitamin and Omegas :)
It's a nice checklist to start your plan! LOL I still use it! It keeps it simple and fresh and complete and balanced. You can go over on protein...especially if you are moving your body. I also suggest just protein and veggies after 2 PM if possible. But that's something you can work towards :) that was hard for me when I started.

Your daily calories will be different possibly, but just adjust according to these areas to fill your nutrition. If you are balanced, you won't crave as much and be hungry because your body is getting everything it needs. :)

You will have some sucky days and you will have some rockin days...it's all part of the journey! Do the daily things and all of a sudden BAM you're at your goal or sliding into those favourite jeans with a grunt or a drop of sweat! :) Just stick with it! YOU CAN DO IT!

Please holler if you need anything!!!
Have a great week and an amazing year! 2013 is YOURS!!!!
    xo
