All the changes in my life are really starting to pay off. Last summer I weighed in at 165- my highest ever weight. This summer I hopped on the scale to see 140!
I attribute a lot of this to going to the gym and making those smart and healthy decisions, but the major factor was breaking free from a lot of stress I was carrying around.
I am spending a lot of time outside, walking the dogs, tanning, and just feeling inspired by my surroundings.
I don't count calories anymore, but I've settled into a comfortable routine of measuring out portions (:
I try to keep at least one kind of fruit in the house and incorporate it into my first meal of the day, everyday. Starting the day out right really makes a difference!

My goals for this month are focused primarily on other aspects of my life, but I'd still like to share them with you (:
* Find my own apartment
* Find a second job to finish out summer
* Get my own vehicle
* Stay positive, and wish the past farewell with a smile (:
* Keep writing and staying inspired
* Keep making healthy food decisions
* Get outside as much as possible!

P.S. I'm always looking for positive, motivating spark members to be friends with! Most of my real world friends and family do not know about my goals. I love this site because there are so many encouraging people on it! :)

    aw well thank you! and i was looking for someone with similar goals too so this is perfect:) b/c you're gonna be a sophomore at college you might be able to answer one of my questions- is freshman 15 really that inevitable? i'm scared i'm going to lose back all the weight i got off already!
    and right now i also go to the gym when no one really is there (i hate feeling ilke a big lump trying to work out in front of kids i know haha) and my favorite is the elliptical cross training machine. idk if your gym has it, but it's kind of like an elliptical but you don't move your arms and you take steeper steps- idk how to explain it really lol and my all time favorite work out, unfortunately my gym doesn't offer it, is zumba! have you ever tried it?
    and lastly, i love hiking:) haha wbu?

    Thanks for commenting on my blog. This evening's walk was cancelled because of rain, so I had to do a "walk away the pounds" indoors. emoticon

    Hey! I haven't actually lost much weight yet! Still hovering in the 160s... it's my "hometown" lol. Why? I LOVE to eat junk food. I also love to work out, thank goodness. I think my body likes me being in the 160s, so I'm not fighting it too much. I just want to tone up and turn the fat into muscle and be super fit. I do bootcamp classes 3 times a week which includes lots of strength training and cardio. Also, kickboxing twice a week which I am in love with, I've been doing that for two months. I will be going back to doing P90X and INSANITY during August, and back to the normal routine in September. What type of workouts do you do?
