We welcomed Ava Marie on October 23, 2010, at 12:01 a.m. by c-section due to breech position. She was 19" and 5lb3oz. I am looking forward to losing the baby weight through healthy eating, exercise (after 6-8 weeks of recovery, unfortunately), and breastfeeding. :)

Pre-baby: 142
Day before delivery: 182
6 weeks after: 163

I'm a Kindergarten teacher in Milwaukee, WI. I got married July 2009 and have been trying to maintain my pre-wedding weight loss of about 40 lbs. I recently found out I am pregnant - due November 2010 - and am going to try to maintain healthy eating and exercise levels throughout this pregnancy.

I completed my first half marathon on May 1st, 2010, at 12 weeks pregnant. I ran the first 4 miles with friends, then began taking walk breaks as needed to keep my heart rate down. Two bathroom breaks, lots of water, a hammer gel, and 2 hours 31 minutes later I crossed the finish line and earned myself a finishers' medal! Woohoo!!

I completed a sprint triathlon June 13 in 1:47. I also lost a friend that day at the triathlon.

Fitness Minutes: 21,424

My Goals:
Workout regularly - 15 minutes each day, as well as strength training and/or cardio at least 45 minutes 3 times/week.

Stop relying on soda to get my perk in the afternoon. (9/1/09 - I'm still sticking to this, since last October. Now, I am able to have a sip occasionally and not want to down the whole can. I avoid it at all times, though!)

My Program:
I am making healthier food choices, doing Body Pump (weight lifting class) twice a week, and cycling twice a week, and running!

    So I'm just question gal... What are plyometrics?

    Exercise is going well for me. I've fallen into a good groove and discovered that the perfect workout time for me is 6 a.m.! It is early but DH watches Arianna and handles her breakfast which allows me to get out before it gets too hot and at the beginning of the day which really helps set the tone for the rest of the day.

    Arianna is doing well. She is so mobile now! When we are outside it is so hard to keep up with her and keep everything out of her mouth! I can't wait until she stops with the mouth exploration! LOL How is Ava?

    Running around after a class of 4 year olds! WOW! You will have your own exercise set out for you! How is Insanity going?

    I'm like you and add some kind of protein to my salads. I find that if I don't I'm hungry again after an hour or so. I just the reminder that a meal can be simpler!
