Thank you so much for your support! Your comment on my blog about my older daughter's severe depression brought me comfort. Fortunately, things seem better than a few days ago. As you said in your comment, though, this might be something we will have to live with forever and manage as well as we can. I am sure there is a physical basis in this, as I, too, suffer from depression and experience it as a ton of bricks preventing me from even getting out of bed at times. I have become less affected as I age, but my daughter is still often in the throes of despair I remember so well from my youth. But I have faith that we will prevail!
Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers for us. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the support of you and all my other SparkFriends! 1862 days ago

Thank you so much for reading my blog about Mari's dress-up day a couple of days ago. I really appreciate your kind words.
Yes, there are a whole bunch of ceremonies in Japan! So many! Often they are very moving, but I must admit that a lot of them are boring, and I have often wished there were fewer. Then when I go back to America, I can really feel how informal and unceremonious it is over there, and, as with so many other things, I think the best solution would be to strike a balance somewhere between the two countries' extremes. We need fewer ceremonies in Japan and maybe more in the US.
But you and your husband created a wonderful tradition with your idea of giving your children special vacations when they turn eighteen. What great memories your children will have of these trips, and what exotic locales they seem to favor. Iceland?! I would LOVE to go to Iceland, and I'll be so jealous if you get to go there first, ALOOGOBI! But not too jealous to be happy for you if it happens! 2080 days ago

Thanks for reading my little blog ( rant? ) . She was a well turned out lady and I was surprised at her loony views. But we read about PH and all the benefits of chocolate etc. people do subscribe to this stuff. 2087 days ago
