All throughout school i felt fat and my peers told me I was fat regardless that I was 5'7 and 145 lbs. when I graduated in 1994. I moved away from home in 1996. In 1998 I moved back in with my mother after a failed romance. I weighed 218 lbs. By May 2000 I had lost over 75 lbs and weighed 145 lbs! I swore I would never let myself get that big again...Never say never :o( I fluctuated between 190 and 200 lbs from 2001 to 2004. After another failed relationship I began losing weight again and got down to 170 lbs. After my marriage in May 2005 I packed the pounds on again, getting back up over 200 lbs. While my husband was deployed with OIF in 2009 I lost 35 lbs getting down to 185 lbs. Sadly, once again I wasn't able to keep the weight off and found myself weighing 260. Now I'm making an honest effort to change my lifestyle to include daily exercise and eating right so that I can feel healthy and strong! I no longer care about how much I weigh, but about how I feel.

My Goals:
I want to lose 100 pounds by December 2016 and increase my physical strength and flexibility. I want to show people that you can do anything at any age if you want it bad enough.

My Program:
I'm walking 10 minutes a day 5 days a week and increasing by 5 minutes a week until I'm walking 45-60 minutes a day 5-7 days a week. I'm following a daily yoga program for 10 weeks. I'm tracking my food, water, and exercise here on SP and getting involved in the community for motivation and support.

    Even though the year is not so new anymore, there is still plenty of time to put new healthy habits in place and finish the year strong. Spring has "sprung" so maybe you can get outside more; that always helps my spirits. Stop by anytime you could use a cup of encouragement.

    These hot temperatures seem to be helping me with my weight loss, I just don't feel like eating much, when it's so hot outside. I guess everything has a silver lining. emoticon
