*** 01/22/17 Round 2 of saving myself, but this time I have my husband with me on the journey!! I've let food and medication be my comforts for too long. Battling bipolar depression, anxiety, Fibromyalgia, IBS, and chronic back pain can make your worst enemies feel like best friends (in the moment). The food and the medication as a solution has failed me. It's time to trade those for exercise and a stronger body.

*** 5/14/13 I got divorced around 10 months after that last bit below this and got remarried April of last year! I'm back in the battle again after that and three separate back strains! Medications definitely make weight loss harder, but apparently I don't have any QUIT in me!!!

*** 1/27/10 Well, it's been a month since I updated in here. I'm going to need a book if this keeps going! I'm still in the 160-170 range and it's been discussed on my blog ( ) why I sometimes have problems getting past a certain weight range but I'm continuing with my exercise and feeling good for it nonetheless! I feel beautiful and these workouts only make me feel stronger, so I'm just going to keep trucking and everyone here and on my blog can watch to see what happens!! :) I even got brave and had my hair cut off! So much feels new and wonderful these days!! Keep on Sparkin'!

*** 12/21/09 I've been teeter-tottering between 160-170 for... Well, only my weight tracker knows! I've gained a few pounds since the holidays started, but I'm really trying not to fret it. It's a tough time of year for me. The cold weather makes me want to stay in bed(and I do sometimes) and do nothing all day. That means erratic sleep/eating schedules, plus all of the holiday food, and the stress from D losing his job earlier this month... Ready for a NEW YEAR and a FRESH START!

*** 9/10/09 I reached my first goal on 8/4 and I've lost 3 lbs since then! Slow and steady wins the race, right? I uploaded some not exactly but close to 6 month comparison pics. It's amazing what even THIRTY pounds can do for your body! I've lost 48 lbs(my first goal) and I've set my ticker for 25 lbs now, then 25 lbs later! I have had so many ups and downs, starts and stops and starting again. It's all on my blog if you care to check out my journey. You can do whatever you WANT to do and you're worth every bit of energy it takes to reach your goal!

*** 6/30/09 I am 8 lbs from reaching my first goal. I'm floored! I am using my pictures as a reminder of how much I want this for myself and how great it makes me feel on the inside and outside to be doing this! It's worth it. I'M WORTH IT!!!

*** 4/28/09 My "goal weight" at the moment is 180 lbs. I feel as though the thought of seeing the bigger number would only overwhelm me, so I'm taking it a little at a time! Once I reach 180, I will change my goal!! I can't believe I'm about 20 lbs from reaching that goal! Awesome!

My name is Terrie and I'm a 23 yr old SAHM to 1 year old Ally and a wife to my husband of 4 years David. My journey began in 2008 with counseling where I discovered a lot about myself and how that correlated with my eating habits. I was assaulted as a teenager, which led to my using food for comfort every day and I gained weight every year along with battling anxiety and depression. Now that I don't feel the need to eat all day, I'm just trying to figure all of this out and learn to get to some level of normalcy!!

I also try to do blogging at least every other day, sometimes more if I feel the need to. It's my way of getting things out and relieving stress, but also detailing any hardships or achievements I might come across in this life-long journey toward a healthier me.

My Goals:
*Make exercise a part of life(IOW: A priority!)
*Drink at least three 28 oz bottles of water daily
*Allow myself anything in moderation
*Make smarter choices when dining out
*Get down to then maintain a weight of around 125-135!

My Program:
*Exercise 3 days/wk(Mon, Wed, Fri-subject to change) for at least an hour
*Pick back up with strength training, allowing myself a break if I get too tired with all of the activity
*Work on eating a more hearty breakfast and a lighter lunch/dinner instead!
