Winter 2019, the year continues to amaze and delight me. I am continuing to lose, about 23% of my original body weight now. I've noticed a decline in weight loss now because I am weight lifting and running more. I see muscles I knew I had but couldn't feel quite so easily now. I've had to go back to my original engagment ring because my fingers have thinned out and my new one is in danger of falling off!

Summer 2019, wow, what a crazy year. With the help of my Doctor and a little bit of Intermittent Fasting, I have lost 20% of my body weight since April 2018. I am happy, healthy, proud, amazed. I am down nearly 2 pant sizes and 1 shirt size, having to now slowly buy new clothes that I don't swim in.

As the end of 2018 comes to a close, I realise just how thankful I am for my wonderful life, sturdy & comfortable home, supportive & loving husband, and health care professional who said the tough thing this last March. Telling me that my body pain is likely caused by my weight, without being demeaning or rude, was the wake up call I needed. Thanks to his information and support I am on track to lose 50 lbs this year with improved eating. Thank you Dr. G.

January 2017, another year has passed and it was so very busy. After a promising start, I just gave up on make changes for the rest of the year. I will endeavour to make a better 2017. We are now packing breakfasts and lunches to work with us and not eating out nearly as much. This helps our hips and bank accounts. Here's to a strong and healthy year!

January 2016, while 2014 & 2015 were a lovely year full of vacations, a new house and great changes I also suffered another miscarriage right before Xmas 2014. At what point do I say enough is enough? Today, now.

September 2014, I have battled through a terrible 2013. I have endured the loss of my first pregnancy and have started healing. I was laid off from my job but have bounced back into an even better employer.

My long-long term goal is to weight 199 lbs, but my short term goal is to walk everyday at lunch and eat low-carb, lower sodium than before.

My Goals:
I am starting a battle with my bulge to slim down. I am hoping to have the choice to shop at regular-sized clothing stores.

Goal 1: Lose 38 lbs, get a pedicure
Goal 2: Lose 76 lbs, well I guess I went on a vacation. LOL.
Goal 3: Reach 275 lbs, set up a new plan with my health care provider and maybe go on another trip!

Long term goal: Weigh 199 lbs or whatever feels comfortable in that range.


My Program:
I am monitoring what I eat with SparkPeople, as well as trying to walk more. Changing my daily routine to taking transit to work since December 2017 has been helpful.
