I grew up in NH and retired to FL six years ago. My husband of 30 years left me for a 38 year old woman and ruined me financially. I moved to TN to live with my daughter and her family. She gave birth to my first grandchild in Sept. and I have been around him every day. This has been an amazing blessing. He is just a sweetheart. I received a communication, when I got to TN, from a boy I was best friends with in 7th grade. We dated a little in high school, but my dad didn't let me date much. He went into the Air Force and I went in another direction and we lost contact. He found my name on a class reunion list and contacted me. He was in TX. He had lost his wife to cancer 4 yrs ago. He came up to visit me several times and we are getting married on Feb 6th, 2016 after not seeing each other for over 53 yrs. Even bad stories can have a good ending. I am very interested in helping seniors get healthier. Me and my new husband to be try to exercise 45 minutes a day. I do the treadmill and he likes the stationary bike. We also do a lot of walking. After we get married I am getting him on a weight training program too. So many changes that I never expected a year ago. I thought my life was going to be in FL with my ex husband. I am happier than I have ever been and have a partner in life that has my interests. We have never forgotten about each other, but had no idea where the other one was. I am looking forward to my new life.

Update: We got married on Feb 6th of 2016 and are very happy. Got my Prince Charming.

To maintain my healthy lifestyle. I was over 200 pounds 7 yrs ago. I got down to a normal weight and have maintained it. My goals are to help others, of my age, to get healthier through small changes that can make big differences.

My Program:
Lead by example and continue to encourage anyone who will listen to me. Look for was to promote healthier lifestyles as we age.

    It’s cold outside, but Spring is coming! Are you ready to join a Challenge? The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for members for it’s next Challenge starting the first week of March. The challenge consists of 11 Teams, that participate in 10 weeks of Nutritional and Fitness Challenges. These challenges can be modified to fit individual needs, allowing members of all abilities and dietary needs to participate.

    Here are some of the members comments written on a Survey Monkey poll:

    “I like the variety, novelty, and ingenuity of the weekly challenges. They push us out of our comfort zone. And get us to try something new. “
