Discovering Myself
I wish I could say that I'm fun, fit, and 41......but the only truth to that statement would be my age. I'm hardly fun and I'm FAR FROM FIT but I am 41. I was not always a "big girl" as a matter of fact I was actually considered really skinny for most of my teen years. I had my own fashion sense and style (which I still have....but try not to think about that) and I felt good about myself. I had my own fashion sense and style (which I still have....but try not to think about that) and I felt good about myself. At about 18 years old I started gaining a little weight.....actually I just "filled out" and gained some feminine curves. A few things happened between the age of 18-23 and in that time I gained about 60 lbs. Then once I got pregnant I gained 100 lbs. during my pregnancy. After the birth of my first child I lost 60 lbs. but retained a extra 40 lbs. of my "pre-baby" weight. When I got pregnant with my second child I gained 100 lbs. again and lost 60 lbs. after birth. Needless to say I've been over 200 lbs. for 14 years now and it's made me feel pretty hopeless. I'm not a very motivated or positive person and I have a lot of external stressors in my life. Weight loss, consistent exercise regimen, motivation, and a positive outlook are definitely a challenge for me. I hope now is my time that I can "discover myself" For now I'm just going to put forth some effort everyday to exercise and resist some food temptations (try to tame my soda addiction)
