It was Christmas 2012 that was the real eye opener for me. I had just finished getting plates of food for the kids and myself and I went to sit down on a metal folding chair and I broke it. I fell right to the ground on my butt and everyone's attention turned to me. I held it together until I made it to the bathroom and I took a good long look in the mirror and hated what I saw. It was only after I heard my cousin retelling the story to my brother, who had just arrived, like it was the funniest thing in the world that I began to cry. My brother said, "Poor girl." And I cried harder.

I have struggled with my weight my entire life. In 2006 I weighed 240 after getting out of a bad relationship and I used Curves and Turbo Jam to lose 75 pounds! I felt amazing. But through the years, I stopped focusing on myself and the weight came back. After a few more failed relationships, I met my husband. We got married in April 2010 and welcomed our son into the world in May 2010. I had a lot of back and pelvic pain during my pregnancy that prevented me from working out and I had the "I can eat whatever I want because I'm pregnant" attitude. I gained 45 pounds! Which at my highest weight I was at 260 pounds! I dreaded getting on the scale at every doctor appointment. After giving birth I lost 20 pounds automatically and then I lost another 6 pounds on my own.

We welcomed our daughter into the world in November 2011. I ate much better with her pregnancy and attempted to workout as much as I could tolerate and I only gained 9 pounds with her. (Pretty much all baby) Since having her, I only lost about 25 pounds.

Fastforward again, we welcomed our son in October 2014. I gained about 20 pounds with him and since having him, I have been finding it hard to stay on the weight loss train.

After losing my uncle and my grandpa to heart attacks and my mother having quadruple bypass surgery at age 47, I am ready to kick my butt into gear! I have to do this and I WILL do this. I am looking for others to help motivate me and to become friends with.

My long term goal is to lose 100 pounds.

I am eating a heart healthy diet with lots of fruits and veggies and I am working to keep up on running and adding in some home workout DVDs.

I am from Wisconsin. I am married and we have a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl and a 9 month old boy.
