I'm 26, live in Toledo, OH with my boyfriend of 6 yrs, and am frustrated with a 50 lb weight gain in one year. I am confident that I can make this change.

3/25/08 - Well, I'm half way to goal! I'm proud of myself for making the progress I have. I've made some drastic changes in how I live my life, but none so crazy that I can't continue with them. They are only drastic in comparison to how I was living my life just a few months ago. Drinking water has become second nature, and I get excited when I find perfectly ripe fruits or a really nice looking bunch of leaf lettuce. Gone are the days that I got excited because my small pizza had enough extra cheese, and they didn't forget my garlic butter dipping sauce! I get sick just thinking about eating all that, when it was my dinner more nights than not.

Spark has allowed me to reinvent my life. The friends I've made here are so dear to my heart, and by keeping in touch with them I've been able to keep my goals and changes in check while living my life. I look forward to exercising each day; it feels great to be active, and to have a feeling of accomplishment every day just from putting forth a little effort. My body is slowly changing. I can feel the difference in my clothing, and in the way I walk. I am more confident, more proud, more self-assured. Even if I'm still not satisfied with my body, I know I'm doing all I can right now to get to the point where I will be satisfied, and that makes all the difference in how I feel. I know it will only continue to get better along the way.


7/8/08 - I made it to GOAL!!! I've lost 60 pounds!! My apartment was destroyed by a fire on the fourth of July, and so I'm proud that I met goal eventhough I didn't have my tools for the last few days before my final weigh in. However, because I am trying to rebuild my life right now I'm not really in the swing of things and I can't keep a set routine how I used to. I'm hoping that by the end of August I'll have somewhere to stay and I'll be able to get back on track. I'm having serious withdrawl from exercise and can't wait to sweat my butt off again :)

To those that wonder what the "secret" is - HARD WORK!! If you want results you MUST want to reach your goal with more passion than you've ever had for anything else. Your body wants those extra pounds and they will fight you to the bitter end to hang onto them. On the days you just don't feel up to it, do it anyways - just for a few minutes. It's a dangerous downward spiral to fall on when you start the "just one day.....just one more day....I 'll start next week". Keep pushing, remind yourself why you want this, and how good you'll feel just knowing that you accomplished one goal each day. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!

1- 195 on March 1

(Met 3/18 - FINALLY! - 193)

(Met 5/13 - YAY!!)

3- 160 on July 31

(Met 7/15 - Right on time)

4 - 160 on December 25

Once I prove that I can maintain my goal weight for 5 months, I will reassess whether or not I want to set a new goal weight.

My Program:
I am following the nutrition tracker ranges, making sure I get 4 fruits and 4 veggies (not as hard as I thought) and the fitness tracker, making sure I'm doing cardio 6x a week-burning 350 calories each session, and weight training 3x a week, with 12 exercises each time.

Personal Information:
I live in Toledo, OH with my boyfriend David. I have 5 sisters 3 nephews (Philip, Atticus, Theodore), and a brand new neice (Macy).

Other Information:
I enjoy reading, puzzles, sewing, sports, board games, and painting.

    HI!! Its been a looooong time since I have been on due to pregnancy. I saw you reached your goal! Thats awsome!! Your my inspiration..I have 60 more pounds to go before I reach my goal weight, and it is so confusing-even more so since I am breastfeeding. Hopefully all is well!!

    HI! nice to see you! :) Those move in dates always seemt og et delayed! At least you wont be driving around with frozen toes this winter...just moving in! :)

    Glad to hear about the eliptical and treadmill. I am hoping to get myself another treadmill by my birthday (I wonder if I could convince myself to wait that long?
