2011 was quite a rollercoaster of a year... and although I am glad to see it end, I feel truly blessed for all that has happened in these last 365 days. No I did not meet my weight goal; I did however start the process of finding out who I actually am, and who I want to be.

In 2012 I will continue on this journey of finding myself and will own whatever challenges comes my way. I have finally learned that it is so very important to make yourself happy, no one is able to do it for you, except you.

My Goals:
To make positive changes in everyday life for myself and contribute in the community for those who are less fortunate then myself and family. To gain physical, mental and spiritual well being.


My Program:
Get up and get moving every day. Push myself in every work out to do just a little more.

Quit mindless snacking at night. Pick up a book instead, or do a mini work out

Cut down on drinking wine.. a couple of glasses on the weekend. No more with dinner through the week nights.

Find a local charity to volunteer once a month. Look into getting on the comittee for Christmas for Kids program.

My name is April Hoover, born and raised in Oregon. I am an Account Manager for an insurance brokerage. I have lived the majority of my adult years taking care of everyone else, and am now taking time for me.


Other Information:
I am a light hearted person and talk too much most of the time. I love photography, dancing, being with my family and friends.

    Hey there...thanks for stopping by. I'm doing pretty good...except for my eating habits. Been hitting gym everyday tho. I also started taking a BComplex vitamin in additon to the others that I take and it really seems to help with my mood. Either that or I am just not too hormonal right now lol.

    also..Not sure what you are asking about your tracker? Did your trainer give you a number that was realistic? That is what I used the first time...He gave me a goal weight and BF number.

    Glad to hear all is well. You def dont want to go by the number especially is you are seeing a difference in you clothing. I have not been doing well...my pants are tight again..and there are a few I cant even wear anymore...Idk what happened...Im going thru some emotional stuff now..but i know i'll bounce back..just dont know when :/
    Anyhoooo...When I started...I wanted RESULTS!! lol..so I was there 6 days a week. My trainer had only suggested 3 days of cardio for 30 mins when i started..and he did my ST 2 days a week. I didn't use weight machines s tho...his program consisted of a lot of own body resistance with hand weights...
    I am back there and already feel my muscles building back up..just that I keep eating my heart out. :/
    I would go with what you trainer says...because honestly, I think I was doing TOOO MUCH in the beginning and that is why I didnt see number changes...I was gaining so much muscle so fast that it was just pushing my fat out and my fat wasnt burning as fast as my muscles were growing..Hope that makes sense..
