    Thanks for the warm welcome. It is nice to know you are not alone int his journey I do suppose. My spouse is very supportive but on one hand is not. I cant talk about how I feel when it is down and depressed. because I am not that person. You know what I mean? I am not weak and when I am in pain . I grin and bear it--- until I cant no more then U might know I am in pain --IF I ADMIT to it. Blow it off--- Im tough-- I can take it attitude--- Yeah I can see me saying... I feel like sleeping all day-- i dont wanna get outta bed and shower because I feel If I look at myself in mirror -- I might get sick. How the hell did I get so big??? and why didnt my SUPPORTIVE SPOUSE ever even hint at anything???? I mean if u love me-- LOVE ME but dont be so damned blind u cant see that 65 pounds adddddddd on day by day???

    I usually wear those stretchy type pants.. jeans. spandex-- i dunno.... anyways u really just fit em like a glove- and it is like old shoes--- u just wear comfortably...... and then u want to get a new pair of jeans and what size are you trying on????

    old fall back is a 12 sooooo lets try a 14? noooo how bout a 16 .... noooo not that either---- okkkk ok damn it! a size 18 !!!!!!!!! are you freaking kiddding?????? I am like ok ok --- right here and now--- i am remmbering when i went into 5 - 7 - 9 in the mall and was lucky if i could find anything small enuff !!!!!

    wow i miss that 28 waist! Im telling you ---
    that other ME is dying to get out !!!!!

    honestly im just tired of being sick and tired--- no energy. and I hurt my back at work-- I been out almost 2 years --- so the lack of exercize and really not wanting to get up or having to get up every day for last 2 years ---

    calories..... add addd add add add up.

    My ahaha Moment came when I said--- NOPE --- NO MORE!!!
    I have lost 15 pounds since that day --- and in one month have managed to come down 1 pants size! yeah !!!!

    I know what I have to do--- I just have to stay focused on doing it!

    of course the support and encouragement and tips on how not to make same mistake YOU made --- always HELPS!!!!!

    Hey Im A nutt!! and alittle bit of a geek-- I owned a comodore 64 and 128 when i was 18!!!!! hahahaha

    I also worked for Circuit City for 6 years and was a tech manager -- I loved my digital cameras--- camcorders---tv---stereo--computer---- auuuuuuahhhht ! I miss my crew!
    those were the days!!! hahaha

    I was also married to a USAF member and 17 of his 20 years we were lucky enuff to travel the world govt's expense !! KEWL BEANS!!!! lol

    I lived in Naples Italy for 4 years-- and Okinawa Japan for 4 years and all over the southern USA. cept for Belleville Illinois.... DONT ASK why we hadda have sum SNOWWWW before the 20 was up!!! but that was that!

    he retired in 2000 and in 2003 we split--- the kids now are all grown cept baby-- 17 yrs old!! going on 71```` just discovered GIRLS!!!! OMG ---

    the 21 years with hubby--- well --- he is a good guy. he was a wonderful husband and father---- provider-- but we just changed--- it happens.... and honestly---- the marriage had alot of time to roll down hill.
    ALOT of TIME
    we are still friends-- matter factly-- i just got off fone with him earlier--- anywho

    im long winded and got stuff to do. lol

    Thanks again for the warm welcome. It is a good thing to have a anonomous person that wont judge you-- or critisize your thoughts -- or how you feel --- of tell you to shake it off-- suck it up--- or just stop eating.....

    funny thing.. i stopped eating and i think i gained more weight!

    Congrats on taking the next step to reaching a healthier you by getting active with SparkPeople - it's a great community, wonderful resources and fantastic support. You're off to a great start already, just by posting here, introducing yourself and sharing your story!
    Please check out the SparkTeams - I think you will find a lot of others 'just like you' including many with the same challenges, circumstances and goals. You can choose SparkTeams by age group, lifestyle or interests, geographic location or several other ways.

    Some of the teams I like and think you might like include the Official 10-minute Daily Exercise Streak Challenge, Starting Over Weekly Mini-Challenge Team, 10k Steps A Day and Motivation & Positive Attitude Plan - but there are so many to choose from, you can have a great time looking for the ones that seem to fit you best! In fact, I suggest joining more than one group, post your intro there and write blogs as often as you can - you will find tons of friends and support that way, I promise!!
    In my experience, SparkPeople is like a emoticon in some ways - it's lots of fun and easy to make friends because we're all in this together. I like the way a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE is emphasized instead of a 'quick fix wonder diet' so it's good for people wanting to lose weight, maintain a previous loss, get healthier, improve fitness and many other goals including gaining weight or saving money - it's about waaaaaay more than 'just' losing weight so you have definitely come to the right place!
    If you ever need any help using features of the site, there are tutorial videos under the HELP section that can show you how to use the features of the site. You can also find them on the START page and several other places on the site.
    Be sure to read and 'study' The Spark book because it outlines the overall program and is compatible with most types of eating plans. It's available in printed version, as an audiobook or as an ebook for Kindle - you can download the free Kindle reader for your computer or read it on a smartphone so you don't have to actually own a Kindle device to take advantage of this offer - I have it on my Blackberry and can read bits of it whenever I'm waiting in a line or feel like I need a 'reminder' of what I'm trying to do so check it out!!!
    If you haven't already discovered the SparkDiet linked at the bottom of the START page, check it out - the program is simple but extremely effective. There is a TON of information on this site - so much it might even seem overwhelming but fortunately we don't have to 'digest' everything at once! The FastBreak program is a good way to start.
    Another nice thing about SparkPeople is that we have permission to be human - we don't have to change everything at once or be in a hurry to reach our goals. Take a few baby steps and then a few more and before you know it, you'll have completed a long journey - I hope you enjoy this community as much as I have - it teaches us how to make positive lifetime changes because that's the only thing that will work over time!

    Hi and welcome back to Spark People where you will find lots of information and tons of support and encouragement from all our members. You will find that we also have fun along the way. Drink your 8-8oz glasses of water a day (If you only drink one now, add to as you are able until you are drinking your 8 cups or more a day), watch your portion control (measure everything in the beginning...guaranteed it will get easier) and walk, dance or do any exercise you enjoy (start with 10 minutes a day or several times a day and add to it as you are able or have time). Use your fitness and nutrition tracker daily (guaranteed to work if you use them consistently and honestly). Pick one thing to thing at a time. Don't try to change to many things at once as that can be very overwhelming. Just try to take one step, one minute, one hour, one day, one week at a time. They honestly will all add up to the bigger numbers. These tips will definitely help in lowering your numbers and increasing your ability to enjoy life. Don't expect miracles right away...this is a lifestyle change not a diet. You will be much healthier in the long run. Post any concerns, comments or questions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
    Start each day with a positive thought just for that day. Reading and reflecting on an inspirational thought or message before you start your day can put you in a positive frame of mind.
    Your thoughts determine whether you have a good day or a bad day. Fill your mind with positive ideas, suggestions, and thoughts. You will find it will change your attitude and changing your attitude can change your life.
    Sometimes just reading an inspirational quote or a short paragraph helps one see the positive in a situation. Sometimes as your day progresses you just need to take a breakā€¦Take a mental break and read or think about a message of inspiration.
    Never underestimate your power to change and improve! You are a good person, with wonderful qualities, and you can reach your goals!
