The title has multiple meanings: I want to go the distance with the weight loss so that I can travel long distances comfortably (transoceanic flights, I mean), and so that I can go the distance in life, and live a long and healthy existence until the inevitable clog-pop.

I am all about travel and adventure (and can have adventures in the most commonplace situations), and both of those are much easier with less bulk on the frame.

I welcome company on this journey. If you just happen by, please say hi and let's compare notes!

Fitness Minutes: 294

My Goals:
- To be half the woman I am, with twice the energy.

- To get back to cycling, in-line skating, and running.

- To take up skiing and/or snowboarding, and a martial art.

- To compete at kettlebells by October 2013.

- To do the Grouse Grind by October 2013.

- To lose 100 pounds by October 2013.

My Program:
In October 2011, I adopted the Paleo way of eating. I stopped eating sugar, grains, and processed foods, and stopped counting calories. I eat plenty of protein, veggies, lots of healthy fats, a little dairy and some nuts and seeds.

I work with a Personal Trainer because I have no imagination and a low boredom threshold where working out is concerned, and not yet enough stamina to get through an aerobic/cardio class. I pound weights and build strength and muscle and I feel amazing.

Personal Information:
I live in the suburbs of Vancouver, BC. Married, no kids, no pets. We travel as much as we can.

Other Information:
Eat Well.
Lift Heavy.
Be Strong.
