After stepping on and off the scale so often I have found that I have not made much of any improvement other than being disappointed with myself. I have always read and heard from those that have lost weight that burning tons of calories through exercise and consuming very few calories through diet can result in rapid weight loss. Although this may work at first, it may limit your weight loss after the first week or two. You need to consume enough to fuel your body's internal functions and provide your muscles with energy during exercise. Failure to do this can cause your body to start shutting down.

Well, this is exactly what I was doing, eating less and not exercising properly, if at all. I am tired of the yo-yo game with my scale. I, personally, have really slacked off from exercising which was beyond my control. On 3/8/12, my automobile was reared ended by a 31 year old, male, drunk driver, which caused my car to rollover multiple times. I sustained multiple injuries to my body including both of my legs.

After several operations later, last surgery occurring on 9/22/13, physical therapy was scheduled 10 days later. My scars will be my daily motivation, regardless of what occurred I was given a “second chance” in life.

It took over a year to gain the weight and it is going to take at least that same amount of time to get back to where I want to be. I will no longer disappoint myself and be “in limbo” as far as my health is concerned.
