I am 24 years old and my husband and I are hoping to start a family in the next year. Before then I'd like to lose some weight, improve my fitness, and have a healthier diet.

Weight loss goals:
- To lose 1-2 kg/month until I get pregnant
- To weigh 50-52kg
- To be thin enough that I feel comfotable in a bikini
- To be thin enough that my family don't think of me as "the fat one"

Fitness goals:
- To have toned arms/stomach/thighs
- To be fit enough to go in the city-to-casino-fun-run or peak-to-pinnacle (two local races)

Dietary goals:
- To eat a range of fruit & veg every day
- For chocolate & fatty foods to be treats only!
- To eat as much organic, local, fair trade, and natural produce as possible

Family goals:
- For my husband and I to be fitter, thinner & healthier
- For us to provide a good example in these areas for our kids-to-come
- For me to buy healthy foods and cook healthy meals for my family, and to promote daily physical activity as a fun part of our lives

Progress:
Start weight: 58.5 kg (128.7 lbs)
Goal weight: 50 kg (110 lbs)

Challenge 1: to weight 57 kg (125.4 lbs) by social event on 22nd October '08.
Reward: buy a parenting/baby book

I'm planning to use recipes from Annette Sym's books - the Symply Too Good To Be True series. And to try and exercise for 40 mins at least 3 times per week.
