It's been a year since I even attempted to exercise. Yet, not a day went by that I didn't think about it. Thinking didn't get me anywhere. Time to stop thinking and start doing.

Thank you ISOLDE312 for the following advice:

Look Beyond The Goals...
While goals are helpful in feeling positive and moving forward and staying motivated, they can also be a deterrent. Don't allow slipping off the path or missing a goal to deter you. You're changing your whole life - there's no timeline!

11/01/08 I walked/ran my first race ever today!
The Great Pumpkin Race 5K
I didn't come in dead last so that's a win in my book!

03/08/09 Competed in the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon. Managed to get to 7.2 miles before my legs gave out. May not have completed the race but I went farther than a 10K! I had the courage to try; this was not a failure.

04/18/09 Finished the Walk For MS 5K. Won a gas BBQ grill in the raffle; donated it to friends who needed it more than I did.

06/06/09 Finished the Heart & Soul 5K

06/13/09 Finished Applebee's "Chasing A Dream" 5K. Placed first for the women's walking division.

10/24/09 Finished the Tower of Terror 13K

06/2010 Finished the Expediton Everest 5K/Obstacle Course/Scavenger Hunt

Feb 2013 Finished the 5th Anniversary running of
Disney's Princess Half Marathon
Feb 2016. Participated in the Disney Princess Half Marathon while in a full abduction sling after rotator cuff surgery. Completed 7 miles...4 miles further than I had hoped for!
