I have battled poor health all of my life. It's always consumed me, but regardless of how miserable it made me, I STILL couldn't get motivated to change this.

My health worsened in 2007, after I had my son. And I STILL couldn't find the motivation to turn things around. Then, I joined SP in 2008 and (as always) still didn't get motivated to change.

4 YEARS LATER....I am taking EVERY step I can to change this for good. How do I know I will be successful this time??? Because I actually updated my SparkPage:-) YIPPEE!!

I am tired of fearing for my life.....I am tired of crying over my son at night being scared for him of losing me young. I am DETERMINED to take control and live for me and my son. Ready...Set...GO!!!!!

My Goals:
My goals (I used to call these dreams because I never imagined or even ATTEMPTED achieving them):

1. Lose 50 pounds
2. Run a half marathon
3. Learn how to skate (I know....sad isn't it?)
3. Go on a bike ride with my son

My Program:
A man once told me "don't name the thing...just do the thing." Instead of dwelling over EVERY thing, I am going to do the right thing without hiesitation.

I also know asking for strength to push away unhealthy habits will be key.

My initial workout goal:
3 days/week for the first month. 4 days after that.

For me, support is soooo important. I am hoping by me being more open during this journey and meeting all of you, I will be the happiest I have been in my life.

    I made this for friends who came to lunch the other day and will definitely make it again - easy, healthy, and yummy!
    emoticon Low Calorie Baked Apple Crisp Recipe
    Prep Time: 15 min; Cook Time: 30 min
    Ingredients: 4 medium granny smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced ~1 tbsp granulated sugar ~ 2 tsp lemon juice ~ 3/4 cup rolled oats ~ 1/4 cup flour ~ 2 tbsp melted butter ~ 1 tsp ground cinnamon ~ 1/4 tsp salt ~ 1 cup fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt
    Preheat the oven to 350°F. ~ Place the apples evenly in the bottom of a 11x7 inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. ~ To complete the crisp, in a medium-sized bowl, combine the remaining ingredients (except frozen yogurt) and stir until the mixture resembles of course meal. Top the apples evenly with the oat mixture. ~ Bake the crisp at 350°F for 30 minutes. ~ Top each apple crisp serving with 2 tablespoons of frozen vanilla yogurt.
