Wow, another year gone..... and at the speed of light!

I am still very thankful to SparkPeople and its kind, generous, encouraging, loving, and thoughtful members.
Thinking about my resolutions, they might be something I will be pondering for a day or more.
1) Logging my nutritional tidbits everyday!
2) .......... I will have to get back to this.....

Fitness Minutes: 165,120

My Goals:
To feel better and more confident. I will lose inches with pounds.
Update 10/2011 -
Exercise, exercise, exercise. A minimum of 45 minutes of cardio a day. Fitness video a minimum of 5 times a week. Keep a handle on my calorie intake. Earn a minimum of 100 SparkPoints per day.
Lose 1 pound per week until I meet my goal. By January 5th, 2012 I will hit my goal. Even with the holidays, 2 vacations (including a cruise).

***9/22/11 - update
So far 19.5 inches lost and 14 pounds....
I am very happy and it is all SP's fault. Huge Smile!!!!

*** original goal 7/2011*** My goal is to lose 21 inches total and 27 pounds in 4 1/2 months in time for our cruise.
Losing 1.5lbs a week on average.


My Program:
I am talking to myself as I would talk to my best friend. There is no catty talk, no negative talk. I am measuring everything I eat. I am logging everything I eat. I am moving my body everyday.



Personal Information:
I am from Denver Colorado living in Paradise aka Florida. My name is Wendy. I have a super wonderful husband (married for 3 years and a few months), two step-kiddo's (1 girl, 1 boy), I am a proud gramma to a beautiful little boy, 2 Boxers, 1 American Eskimo, 1 min-pin, and 2 sun conures. I am striving to be more healthy so, in turn, my family will be as well. Looking forward to the day, our daughter moves to FL with our grandson. We are hoping and praying everday for this to happen. We just moved our son here to go to college and, well, keeping our fingers crossed.

    Hi! Welcome to SP and Spark Florida and thanks for friending me. I look forward to making this journey with you and together we will reach our goals and then turn around and help others while we learn how to maintain for the rest of our lives.

    We can do it much easier together.

    I see you have been hitting the "road" with the exercise and that is great. Please be sure to join the 10,000 Mile Challenge in support of OnBeachSide. I encouraged her to tell us her status as often as possible and she is keeping up her side by posting to the daily thread. Kimberly was injured somehow during Physical Therapy. That's not suppossed to happen! Anyway, she had surgury to stop the constant severe pain and also to make it so she can walk again. Three to four weeks later, she's still in severe pain and can move less than before so she flew back to Hawaii where the surgeon is to find out why and is she stuck like this for the rest of her life. We are all doing everything we can to help her no matter what! So that pretty much gets you up to date on that subject.

    Also, check out the SparkWheel Golf Club Membership! It's free and fun. We play 18 holes in 9 days (2 holes a day). A hole is the spins on the SparkWheel. You get one everyday at login and then everyday you collect at total of 25 points you get the BonusWheel.

    Since I chronically got low numbers I started the game and I give a SparkGoodie to the winner of each round. We are currently doing Round Five and you can still join by backlogging your scores. Just go to the Challenges and... forum and starting a post. It's pretty easy, just put the date and the score from each spin and the total for the day. Then each day you can edit the original post. (The edit button is just under your signature.)

    Daily check in is on KKKaren's Daily thread. I believe she just puts a date on it, but it's easy to find. It's in the top forum, General Discussions. So please feel free to check out the team and jump in where you wish. I think you will enjoy it. Give me any suggestions for anything you wish and I'll check it out.

    Unfortunately, the team is only allowed so much space so things get "lost" on the back pages, but there are some interesting articles and issues hiding in the back. Check them out if you wish.
