Want to look good and be healthy


I was at 200 once before and I was miserable and in a lousy marriage. Over time I lost 60 pounds and found a wonderful man. Unfortunately he also happened to be a great cook and it didn't take long before that 200 mark came, I want to get healthy and look good but for the long haul this time.

Fitness Minutes: 525

My Goals:
I would like to lose enough weight to look good again. My first short term goal is to lose enough weight that I can wear the beautiful bridal set my husband got me instead of a simple gold band. A mid term goal is to be able to run a 5k

My Program:
 I have started going to Curves 3 times a week. Now the summer is approaching I will be swimming a good bit as well.


Personal Information:
I am happily married and live in Mississippi. I have a large family ranging from 20 to 4.

Other Information:
 One of the frustrating part of this is that I am a picky eater. I do not like tomatoes, fish, onions, peppers, mushrooms, so it makes eating a lot of "healthy" foods difficult for me.

    Hi!! How are you doing? I hope you're weekend was lovely. It doesn't feel like Monday to me yet... It almost feels like a Saturday being that my whole family is off today. I love it. We will be taking a trip to some body of water today...not sure if it'll be a river, dam, waterfall or lake but somewhere we can picnic and enjoy the scenery.

    I see you are from MS. I lived in McComb for 12 years, been in PA for 11. My son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren are there right now on vacation. Kind of makes me homesick.

    I had a wonderful mother's day. thanks! Our church really isn't much bigger than yours and our town is probably smaller!! There are a TON of churches in our town though. We have the three services but only the first and second are really busy. Our band has drums, 2 guitars, 1 bass, trumpet, piano, and lots of vocalists. We have the youth rotate in too when needed. Our church too has been blessed with an amazing pastor! He is so much fun to be around and preaches a great message every week. He is very consistent. The children's programs in the church are like none I've ever seen. WE are so super blessed. I don't ever want to leave Mt Home now and I'm originally from Vermont - so Idaho is a far cry.

    I just got home from rehearsal. Had a REALLY busy day. I will cut it off here :-) It's great that we found each other on here. I love connecting with fellow Christians.

    Hello and good morning! Thanks for the information :-) We sing Mighty to Save too! It sounds like you have an amazing Worship leader. We have one large worship team at our church (we are AOG). And in the past year our team has grown tremendously. We've been blessed with amazing talent and such devoted people ~ to stick around for 3 hour rehearsals every Monday says a lot about a person's devotion. We just recently added the Youth band to our team so they will actually be leading worship occasionally as well - we have 3 services on Sunday's so they are actually going to be taking over 1 service per Sunday for a month.. Then they will do it again in the near future. This way our youth who have a heart for music know that they can serve God with the gifts He gave them. It's been a blast. I am totally going to share with my worship team co-leaders and our Director the conference information you gave me!! Thank you so much for sharing. You're awesome!

    Hi there! Thanks for commenting on my page ~ sounds like we have tons in common! :-) Aiming for a 5k for your first race is an awesome goal. Once you reach that goal, aim a little higher as you can do anything you put your mind to as I am discovering. Training for a half-marathon is something I NEVER imagined trying to do. So what are some of the songs you and your praise team use in worship? Just curious :-) We're always looking for new ideas.
