In 2016, I was diagnosed with an underachieving thyroid after feeling so awful I thought I was dying, I had decided to start living again before medicine kicked in. Movement, Synthroid, mega doses of B complex and D and much cleaner eating was my plan.I did well for almost a year of maintaining a healthier lifestyle but slid backward. I will be 50 this year and over time I have realized that life is filled with short term goals and long term goals. I don't want to promise myself X pounds lost before my birthday. I will continue to put one foot in front of the other. I recommitted on January 1 of this year.

224.9 - 1/31/2020
219.9 - 2/14/2020
214.9 - 3/9/2020
213.9 (new 10%) - 3/9/2020

My Goals:
My goal is to be healthier and happier. In general this means feeling well enough to take care of myself and my growing boys. Numbers mean very little - but I would love to see size 10,12,14 and be below 160.

My Program:
I am not a program sort of person. I am however counting calories on My Fitness Pal and trying to greatly reduce carbs (not Atkins or South Beach). I am trying to rid my world of refined flours and sugars or at least be mindful.
1350 calories is my target for the day. I am still learning as I go along. I have started Synthroid and mega dosing B complex vitamins and vitamin D...I may be slowly starting to come back to life.

Personal Information:
I am married with two handsome little boys, 2 cats and a dog - life is sweet.
