Managing... oh my it is a busy time here! DH is helping a friend on the computer. DD got 130% on a midterm. My teacher wants me to prepare a Christmas concert for my family with them providing tea and finger foods... I suggested today that I could sit with my back to them and after she stopped laughing suggested I should wear a pretty scarf or dress with a nice "back line" emoticon Did I tell you DD has gotten a real diagnosis of seizure disorder? New tests coming up but the doctor says he does not need convincing... it is a rare type. Hopeful he will be able to stop them!

Failure is not death? I would love to know what made you choose that quote. How is the Writing Diet going for you? Today I am on "refrigerator" and about to go shopping for heatlhy foods. Nanowrimo has started and my house has tables with timelines and stacks of notes all over. There is no question a lot of my computer work is missing so yesterday I spent the time doing one character's timeline and organizing my papers. Today I will get another character done and tomorrow another. Hopefully by the end of the month my writing program will be up to date and I have a goal of writing a very good first draft of 10,000 words. Not my usual Nanowrimo goal but it is where I feel I need to be to present to a publisher.

I think I like the writing diet because after all these years I "know my enemy". What used to work doesn't so I'm doing new things. It feels pretty good. However getting to 200 has freaked me out a little. Triggered a little of the food monster. It shows going to weigh myself. I may have to put the scale away for a while until I can breath when I go find out that number. Hehehe, I am such a strange bean sometimes.

I have found a great team (for me) doing The Writing Diet (a guest gave me the book and I finally decided it was time to try it) and another for dealing with eating at night. Lots of active bloggers which I find very motivating or challenging... both are good. I'm SO glad to see you want to give this another go. I have MISSED YOU!

Hang in there. Every choice counts. I know my attitude is different from yours about how to do this. Who knows what is right? But things change and we need to reevaluate sometimes. Stretching is good. Sleep is good. Walking is good. Good food... is good. My latest recipes include chocolate breakfast muffins (almond meal, eggs, dark chocolate, maple syrup and baking powder/vanilla plus a couple of spoonfuls of GF flour) that are lots of protein and fiber. Chick pea chocolate chip cookies (chick peas, eggs, peanut butter, brown sugar, baking powder and chocolate chips) again chock full of fiber and protein. I heard inulin is good for you so I've been drinking coconut dream (boxed milk) which has added inulin. Veggie stews, ratatoille, salads.... it all sounds great and I feel good but I'm still struggling with evening snacking. I'm writing all the time and just need to get more "stick" to the thoughts as it seems like I have WD40 liining my brain, lol. On the good side the scale is not going up for me. I'm just sharing some good choice things to remind myself. And on that note... time to go outside and work on the garden! Good choices. You can do it! WE can do it. emoticon

This does not seem to be where you are posting sweetie.... but I'm thinking of you! Glad to see you continue to progress. The scale and I are at another standstill. 200 is still staring and me and I can't seem to get there. Sigh... busy August being social after a "working" July. Today are our last guests until September. How is your public speaking/motivational business going? I just read "Money Rules" which I got a lot out of even though the reviews said it was "basic stuff". Amazing how to some of us basic stuff hasn't "stuck" yet. I wish they had taught such a course in highschool. On the plus side we are doing lots right. I'm still learning which is what it is all about, right? Hugs, Justyna emoticon
