---The Re-Creation Zone--- WE'RE IN IT FOR THE FINISH - I CAN GO THE DISTANCE - THE GOAL IS IN SIGHT
This is my opportunity to re-create myself and make a much better me in many ways. I look forward with anticipation to this journey. Thanks in advance for all of your help.
On July 17, 2011 I got the following quote sent to me:
Money is the most envied, but the least enjoyed. Health is the most enjoyed, but the least envied.
~ Charles Caleb Colton

It took a long time for me to figure this one out!

My Goals:
My goal is to stick as close to the program as possible and slowly but surely reach my destination.
It took a long time to get here, and it will probably take just as long time to get back.
My Program:
I had to think about my program and a couple of quotes from some very wise people says it all.
Mastering others is strength, Mastering yourself is true power.
Lao Tzu
Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.
Mahatma Gandhi
Personal Information:
I live right here in the center of Canada about 60 miles north of the US border. My wife and I have 3 girls and we have 3 grandsons, who we plan on getting old with.
This new opportunity at living, that SparkPeople has given us is most welcome.
If you would have asked me whether I believed that this was possible before SparkPeople, I could not have told you so. Now, I believe, anything is possible.
I am living proof that an overweight, morbidly obese, out of shape middle aged workaholic can change his ways.
Other Information:
In August of 2011, I spoke to someone who has known me for a long time, and I asked him the following question.
Eight months ago, if someone would have asked you if you thought Dave could stick to a plan and lose weight would you bet on a positive outcome?
The answer was NO.
I then asked, Would you be willing to bet on completion of the plantoday and the answer was a resounding YES.
If you have read this far, you've probably started at the top and now you are near the bottom. I stated in the beginning that this was The Re-Creation Zone, and that my credo is, We're In It For The Finish.
Ladies and Genlemen, this is not an idle bunch of words, these are THE FACTS. I will finish this journey, and I will do it right. I will prove that if an over-weight, stressed out work-a-holic can change his ways and lose weight and get fit.
So can you, and SparkPeople is the best tool to get the process started. Come Fly With Me, I fit in the seats now.
