Introduction Text I'm still just trying to keep up. I had a beautiful (BIG) baby boy on March 10th. He's absolutely the love of my life. Now to drop that baby weight! I did gain quite a lot of it. I lost 40 lbs thus far (3 months postpartum), but I would like to lose another 30. Yes, thirty. The second HUGE news is I'm getting ready for the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco! This is super close to my heart. I was interested in the Nike Marathon just because I heard it's a great course and the amenities are good but then I found out it's to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and I was sold. Then at the first meeting for training for it I found out we each are running for a CHILD who is battling or has battled leukemia or lymphoma. I am running for a little boy here in Hawaii who was diagnosed with leukemia when he was only *23 months old.* Being a new Mom it just tore at my heart strings as you can imagine. That's my motivation now. When I'm tired, when it hurts, when I don't want to run one more mile, even one more step.. I'm going to think about the fact I'm running it to honor him. HE is the fighter and the least I can do is to do him justice in this. The money I am raising goes toward research so there can be a cure for him and for all the children, no child should have to lose the battle with these blood cancers. "The more you care, the stronger you can be." Jim Rohn I am determined to reach my "ideal" body weight which is way below where I am today, being 5'5" and having a small frame. I want to develop a healthy body with lean muscle by eating right in addition to working out and running. I think really all of these things go hand in hand, the endorphins from working out making my moods better, having a better self image because I know I'm working towards my goals and eating right instead of putting a bunch of garbage in my body will all help me get to my goal. Inertia! I just had to get the ball rolling. I'm always looking for new spark buddies so drop me a line of encouragement and I'd love to return the favor! To have a flat tummy, to have good muscle tone in my arms & legs, to run a marathon and have a sexy beach body.

Running every other day, increasing mileage each week Gym three times a week. Eating healthier, balanced meals throughout the day
