I had a page here before but I decided to start over. I've had problems with my weight my whole life. The point really hit home when I got into a major car accident May 20, 2013. My car was totaled, but miraculously I only broke my femur and wrist. The EMTs were amazed that I didn't die, or suffer internal injuries or brain damage. I had to be put in rehab to learn how to walk again. While I was there, my weight shot up to 401 lbs. That was the heaviest I've ever been.

But I started walking little by little, and doing modified exercises sitting down. I managed to drop 22 lbs in 2 months. I still have a ways to go, but since God has given me a second chance at life I'm not going to waste it. Then life decided to throw another curve-ball, and me and my husband of 4 years are now separated. I also hit my heaviest weight of 425.

I'm starting life all over again, but I refuse to do it while obese. I realize now a lot of life decisions I made were because I hated my body and how big I was. I have the power to change that. I lost 41 pounds in 2014, and I'm definitely not stopping now.

January 2015 lbs lost: 3.8 currently 381 lbs
