February 1 2017. I am now 37 years old and have weight over 190 pounds for most of the last 5 months since my daughter was born. It's making life difficult. Also, somehow the transition from 36 to 37 makes me feel really OLD. When I was struggling at the gym Monday I decided to do 37 in 37 My target is to lose at least 37 pounds while I am 37 years old. That will put me comfortably in the lower half of overweight, and I should be able to wear some of my size 12 clothes. Right now I'm still wearing my maternity clothes. I bought EXTRA maternity shirts when it became clear I wasn't losing weight anytime soon. So sad. ---------------------------------------- -------------------------------------- ------ I'm on the last 10 ( or 20, though I hope not) pounds of a lengthy weight loss. I want it gone, now. Well, as soon as possible, anyway. I've been overweight my whole life pretty much, since age 5 or before. I am currently at my lowest weight EVER in high school, which I reached and stayed at for oh, two weeks before going back to 190 where I started, and then some. For many years I weighed ~240, occasionally losing 15-20 pounds only to gain them back, and peaked Jan 1 2008 at 255. I lost a bit of that and hovered at 243 for a while, until a busy schedule dropped me, unnoticed, to 238. A friend, DID notice, and somehow I was able after that to start and continue a weight loss plan. Now I'm down to 148. I'm borderline overweight. I have an obnoxious apple body type and my boobs are too big for cute clothes, even though the rest of me has shrunk enough to fit some. I've been shooting for 140 since I got serious, and I sure hope that I'm satisfied when I get there, but it seems I have a smaller fame and the aforementioned apple shape, and my need to go as low as 230 (NO PLEASE NO). I do aerobics on a regular basis, have resumed swimming finally, and have to start incorporate some more formal strength training in my workouts, as I believe that at this pint that will be the turning pint for my physique, rather than just cardio.

My Goals:
My Program:
Bodycombat (cardio kickboxing) up to 3 times a week, and strength training 1-3 times a week (hate it!) Walking when the weather is good and it isn't dark when I've got time. I also eat well. Mostly whole foods, though I'm not on a "whole foods diet" or any other diet plan. When I first started I tried various reduced fat products, splenda, all that, but at this point I've pretty much gone back to full fat or sometimes light versions of things. Fruit, veggies, and oatmeal are my friends. And so are chocolate and cheese, in smaller doses. I also eat out frequently. I moan and bitch about it after, but it doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. And I don't waste my money on the weight watcher/healthy menu options. I'd rather spend my 15 bucks on a yummy pasta dish than a crappy chicken breast on lettuce.
