Hi everyone! So I'm starting a new journey to a healthier place. I'm tired of being tired all the time, of not being happy in my skin and most importantly, of having to take large doses of gross chelation meds that are based on weight!

This journey will be a life change NOT a diet. I require frequent blood transfusions for a hemolytic anemia, because I get transfused so often (every 6-8 weeks) I have WAY too much iron in my body. As a result I take a chelation medication daily. It is gritty, disgusting and dissolved in juice...I can't wait to reduce the dose since it is based on weight!

A LOT has changed for me in the past few months. I moved from the East Coast to Seattle and am finally in a place I love! An advantage to my new home is the milder weather, I can now spend time outside without getting sick. And most importantly, I have a new medical team with some really great new ideas and information.

I visited Seattle last year and realized it was the first place I'd ever been where my mind was calm. I can't wait to explore all the amazing hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, skiing and beauty this area has to offer. A key part of enjoying all that is getting healthier, building up my endurance, and shedding some unneeded weight.
