Hi! My name is Elias. My wife and I live in Fort Collins, CO. We both generally try our best to live healthy. Inspite of everything we've done-Switching to Whole Wheat/Whole Grain, cooking with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, stop eating fast food (There's a McDonalds accross the street!!), regulary excercising (I often ride my bike to work-16miles one way), I AM NOT LOSING WEIGHT! :-( My weight is 220lbs and has always been no matter what I do. I've joined in the hope that I'll get motivated to stick to my diet and excercise routines, hear other people stories and hope to find some buddies who'll be willing to workout with me at the 24hr fitness on Harmony where I'm a member. Fitness Minutes: 200

My Goals:
To get rid of my pot/beer belly, love handles and reduce the strain I'm feeling on my back. I'm fighting to get down to 200lbs

Where I come from being fat is considered as a sign of wealth even as diabetes is killing people left and right. I hope to get to the point where I can show my family that they can all live healthy and diabetes type they're suffering from can be prevented and cured.

I go to 24hr fitness gym at Fort Collins, CO and would appreciate it if anyone reading this post and also goes there stop me and give me a few tips, exercise with me, help me workout even harder, lets become exercise friends! :-D

    I know exactly what you mean ..with the computer and all trying to get all the spark points and blogs and ect..I try to wait until after one of my workouts and fill in some and then get up and do something else for a while,
    Sounds like you are doing quite well, I really enjoy SP has helped me to stay motivaded..

Honestly, I just don't have the time to do this every day, but I hear your advice, and the others too, everyone is telling me to use these cool tools, nutrition and exercise tracker. I promise to find time to do this. I'm hoping sometime today I will do it! :-) Thank you and I wish you all the best.

    Welcome to sparkpeople. There are multiple ways to use this site and more people for support in your wt loss journey than you will ever be able to keep up with. One of the best things to utilize is the nutrition tracker. You may be very surprised at how many or how little calories you are taking in. Taking in more than you burn will obviously put wt. on but not taking in enough can be just as detrimental! You're body needs the fuel or it fights to keep what it has. Try the tracker for a week. Be honest with it. No one else ever has to see it.
