Let the fun begin!


I live in sunny Bend Oregon, I am focused on getting back to my healthy wieght. I love to travel and love Food!!! I am a trained pastry chef from the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver BC, and pastries and food are my passion. I have owned a catering company, fishing lodge, and ran a 20 room Inn and restaurant with my sister. Then life hit, so I am currently working as an Accountant/Manager. My goal is to be more creative with what I cook so I can still cook and bake!!!

I want to swim in the lake (in a swim suit) hike the trails (and still be able to breath) and look stunning:)

My Program:
 Riding my bike to work everyday!!!!!
Drinking water, sounds simple but this one is hard for me!
New 6/11: Breathing excercises

I am a born and raised Oregonian who loves foodies; slowfood; pastry chefs; dutchovens; music; camping; hiking; canoeing; and just about anything to do with the Kitchen or outdoors!!

    Have fun at the faire! I wish we could go, but don't think we'll be able to make it this year. (I wouldn't mind missing the Quilt Show traffic for sure.) If the Dead really show up, that would be Sweeeet! We saw them earlier this year at the Gorge -that was a great time. Have an excellent weekend! emoticon

    Ooh I love the anticipation of waiting for a big trip too! It is so much fun to get away from it all for awhile! I hope you have a fantastic time!

    I'm definitely going to have to try breathing tomorrow! My mom has purchased a bookstore and tomorrow is her first day of actually running it! So I'll be there to help out all day and then that evening I'm taking my niece and nephew to church. She's going to kindergarten this fall so at church she's moving from the early childhood care to the school-age one. It's on the other side of the church, so she's never even been over there, but they are taking all of the kids on a tour, so I definitely want to let her go! Her mom (my best friend) is going to be packing since they are leaving for a trip on Thursday, but I really didn't want my niece to miss out. So my husband and I said we'd take her and her brother.

    Busy, busy day! I hope I can squeeze in some kind of workout. But we'll see how my work out goes today. Haven't had the energy or a settled stomach in quite a long time!

    Thanks for your comment on my page. Scanning my mom's Hawaii photos was part of 2.5 year undertaking (after I retired) of scanning my mom & dad's entire photo collection (from 1900 to 2007). Gave family members a copy of each photo on disc (3800 photos). Created a dvd slide show set to music. Also included geneology, memories from my mom about each family member as a child, and 168 pages describing each photo - who where and when (I knew 90%). Whew, that project just kept growing - I finally had to stop adding pictures! LOL
