I've come a long way in this weight loss journey, and it's hasn't always been easy. I'm so grateful for the help and encouragement I have received from Spark friends! Without that encouragement, I wouldn't be where I am now.

Having regained about 80 lbs. I'm at a point where I need to focus on myself again. I don't want to keep gaining. I need to make lists every day of what my goals are. No exceptions! No excuses!

Other's are doing it. So can I! Motivation is key! Time to find it, where ever I can!

Daily Positive Affirmations:

For me, dieting is "Permanent": I am NOT naturally thin. I must be eternally vigilant and avoid the temptations that I can't resist.

No amount of food would "EVER" be enough food. I'm "Just as Hungry" 80, 90, or 100 pounds (Or More) Overweight as when I stick to my goal weight.

Still have a ways to go. Need to work on finding improved ways to help me reach my goals. What I have been doing isn't working.
Finding the motivation to keep up with the workouts and healthy eating is what I need to work on.

Tracking my food intake daily.
Daily exercise, no matter what it is.

I live in Kansas City, MO but am originally from Clinton, IA. Dh and I have lived here going on 31 years. I go to the gym nearly every other day and am pretty good at tracking my fitness and food daily.


Other Information:
My grandchildren are my motivation to keep losing this weight. I want to be around to play with them as they grow up, as I am able to do now.

    I've never been able to match DH's level of optimism, probably because of a short anxiety gene inherited through my Eastern European roots, but I await the day that the world returns to normal and I can cook that turkey for family.

    tree, adding lights, bulbs, whatever you may like, and decorating your house.
    While you sit back and relax, with a cup of hot cider, or hot chocolate, listening to Christmas music, you can enjoy how the tree looks and how beautiful your home looks because you took that time so you could enjoy it all
