I am way to young at heart to feel so damn old. ;)

There is much more to life then aches and pains, sleeping your life away because of lack of energy with no motivation to get your motivator moving.

I will be only 53 in a few weeks. Young! I feel 100. I am aware health issues may cause this feeling too but lack of moving ass will for sure contribute.

Having a multitude of concerns like diabetes which had led to stage 4 CKD(chronic kidney disease) along with being hypothyroid does not exactly help the body to feel wonderful either. Thyroid issues alone are enough to cause sluggishness/tired, add in the non-functioning properly kidney and walla... we have a disaster waiting to occur.

Actually the disaster is the woman not getting off her buttocks/body to experience exercise.... I said it! Yes.. exercise. Walking simply hurts so much, so painful I gave up trying.

Wrong answer!

So, a friend mentioned SparkPeople and I have been here since. May only be 3 days but it has been the best time spent in many years. Already am losing Facebook addiction. *thumbsup

I want to lose 108 pounds. I am tall, so for many years I could sort of hide the weight as I gained... not no more. All I see is a beautiful woman from the chin up and then the rest is obese. I want to wear shorts in the summer and show off the wonderful legs I use to have.

Bottom line is ..... not having to go on dialysis. This scared the crap out of me. So the time is now. Will keep myself going with this thought:

"Donna is motivating her motivation to be motivated!!!"

    How are you my friend. I have to give my self pep talks a lot lately, so hang in there. You know walking is the only exercise i like. and i started taking my dog Lexy and just did a few steps each day. 3 years ago, i now can do a mile but i dont push my self i just go at a speed at which I'm comfortable at the moment I'm walking. so be at peace with your self and dont be to hard on you.
