Summer 2009: Working in the garden, I "hid" in the sweet corn when husband wanted to take my photo.

This photo was taken Fall 2009 at a board meeting. I couldn't "hide." Oh, I look so "thick."

About 35 pounds lighter on March 26, 2010. I feel so much better -- and, I think I look better too!

My Goals:
August 2010: We ARE going to sign up for a 5K this fall. I want to tone-up in lots of little areas.
We started a healthy-food and exercise plan in late November 2009 (right, just in time for the holidays). In about 2 months, I lost 20 pounds and felt SO much better! I was at 156 when I found SparkPeople on January 25 -- and slow but sure, I'm continuing to lose and get in shape. My goal is 115.

My Program:
November-January 1, we were writing down every food and calorie. For the month of January, we tried something different -- very low carbs -- just fresh vegetables and lean meat and eggs. In February we worked back in some carbs, writing down & recording every calorie. For fitness, we were either mall-walking or using the treadmill and stationery bicycle -- and now that it's warming up, we're walking at least 2 miles each day outdoors. Can't wait for spring & summer.

Personal Information:
My husband made his goal of 165 . . . and has actually gone down to about 160. I'm trying to get him a few more calories a day! On the other hand -- I've met my goal (115) and would actually like to get to maybe 112-113 so that I have a few pounds leeway. I do NOT want to go about 115! But, I'm wearing Size 4 now, and I don't want to wear a smaller size than that.

Other Information:
August 2010: Made my goal of 115! Lost 62 pounds! Feel TERRIFIC and want to stay here!
April 1st: Start of a new month, feeling good, lost another pound and I'm just 23 pounds to goal.
March 26: Whoopee!! I''ve lost 17 pounds since joining SparkPeople -- about 35 pounds total. And today I said goodbye to the 140s!--I'm at 139 -- and in the healthy BMI range!!
March 9: Yippee!! I've lost 12 pounds since joining SparkPeople on Jan 25, and about 30 pounds total --SO, now I'm at 144 -- just 29 pounds to my goal of 115. That sounds nice -- under 30 pounds to lose. My next big milestone will be when I hit 139 and I'll be "in the 30s" again. Yaay!!
Feb 16: Woo-hoo!! I've lost 8 pounds since joining SparkPeople on Jan 25!--about 26 pounds total. 33 more pounds to the goal. :)
February 8: Yaay! I had hit a plateau, and suddenly there is movement on the scale. So now I've lost 6 pounds since joining SparkPeople -- about 24 pounds total since November 25th. 35 more
