Hi my name is Robbie and I have been yoyoing for years. I am over 50, and determined that my age is not going to stand in the way of my being healthy. Like many of you I have tried and lost the weight only to gain it back. I had gotten so frustrated that I surpassed the highest I had ever been by 20 pounds. So I was pretty depressed when one day I looked around at my patients (I am a nurse practitioner) and realized that I too could be spending the rest of my life in a wheelchair with an overwhelming list of chronic conditions.

I am still in the midst of trying to get to my goal weight. I have always had long plateaus that are so demoralizing, but this time I have found a way to work through them. I took a break from the scale, kept exercising and writing down my food and am paying attention to how my clothes fit and how I feel. I am 20 pounds from moving from to "obese" to "overweight" by medical standards, but feel stronger and healthier than I have in years.

My clothes are getting bigger, I do 40 minutes of aerobics every day, I am getting all my water, and most days am able to stay within my calorie range.

I would like to be not short of breath!

I would like to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

I want to be able to buy and wear a pair of dress boots and have them fit my calves!

My Program:
Write it all down!

Exercise every day even it is only 10 minutes, eat smart, and drink that water!
