I have been overweight all my life. It is time to do something about it. This is my year. I plan to get it together and be the best me ever by my birthday in 2017. My birthday is August 30th. I will be 60, and I will be awesome! I am a third generation teacher. This year is my 30th year in the classroom. It is my best year ever. I am having so much fun and my students are amazing. I am the mother of a wonderful young man who has found his first job and is loving it. He has found the love of his life-so I have a wonderful daughter, and granddaughter too. I am married to the love of my life; my wonderful, handsome husband Rob who has joined me on my journey with Sparkpeople. We will celebrate our 26th anniversary in May. Life is good and getting better every single day! Spark On! We Got This!

My Goals:
I want to be strong, beautiful and healthy. I want to be able to dance all night long-without pain-if I want to. But most of all, I want to never have to give myself a shot of insulin again!

Goals to check off my list:
1. Weigh 275 or less
(last weighed that in 1993) 10/24/11 273.7
2. Weigh less than 266-what I weighed when I graduated from HS-1/15/12 264.9

3. Be able to walk to the lake in my neighborhood, around it and back home again.

4. To be able to run-to see if I like it.

Start Weight 301

10% 271 11/7/11 - 271.1

15% 253 (Less than I weighed when I graduated from H.S. and no longer morbidly obese) 7/30/12

20% 241

Halfway to goal 234

25% 226 (about what I weighed when I married 20 years ago)

30% 211

35% 196

40% 181 (less than I weighed as a Freshman in college, after not eating all summer after graduation)

45% 166-Goal!!!!!!

My Program:
I use my trackers-for my food and exercise. I plan my food-no more unconscious eating. I do 100+ minutes of Cardio 7 days a week and strength training three times a week. We have turned our livingroom from a lounging area to a home gym.

"My body is writing a new story in my life and I am coming a long for the ride. You can do anything you want at any size. Never think you can't! Don't allow yourself to sabotage all your hard work, will power, and self esteem. Keep moving, keep moving and for gosh sakes..keep moving. WE GOT THIS! "

"I've changed the norm. I don't have to worry about how to become a daily exerciser once I've hit my goal weight, and whether or not I'll accomplish this...because that has become my fitness norm already." TheTurtlebear

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens

Are you interested in a Challenge?

The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Spring challenge. To get to the Challenge go to my page and click on the Blue Biggest Loser Icon, copy and paste the link below, or let me know and I can send you an invite. Join the Team then sign up on the waitlist. It’s the thread right below the Frosted Fitness Fun Chit Thread.

emoticon Come fly with me! Don't forget that the First Step Club is visiting Paris, France this month. Think about walking around and seeing the sights. Eating salads at an outdoor cafe. Riding a bicycle in the countryside. Come and join us for some fun and inspiration.
