I continue to work on my fitness and nutrition goals. I signed up for a 7 AM fitness class that works on treadmill intervals and nutrition info. I'm also working on getting more sleep. I feel like I'm making progress in all areas.

Fitness Minutes: 10,046

My Goals:
* Overall, lose 52 pounds and then reevaluate weight loss goal.

* Get three days of cardio in each week for an hour each time.

* Get three days of strength training in each week.

* Track food consumption to stay within my dietary range.

* Drink more water.

* First weight loss goal is to lose 10 pounds.--MET

* Focus on weight loss in increments of 10 pounds rather than total amount.

My Program:
* Track nutrition and fitness.

* Drink 12-14 cups water/day.

* Cardio exercise using HR intervals using TEAM Weightloss Program at LifeTime Fitness.

* Strength train 3 days/week.--STARTED 6-1-2009

* Get more sleep--7-8 hours/night.

* Get a fitness assessment and complete metabolic assessments.--DONE

* Work with a personal trainer. --STARTED 6-1-2009

* Read SP articles, Sparkpages, and blogs. Participate in a few groups. Reach out for support when needed and offer support to others.

    Hi Shelley! I thought about you the other day, when I picked up my tennis racket for the first time since we last played. Are you still playing? I would love to be, but I have gained even more weight, and it's SO hard on my knees!

    I am going to rededicate myself to Spark and losing 20 pounds before the Holidays. If you want to play some tennis and have patience for rusty groundstrokes and slow footwork, give me a call! I will come to Edina.

    Time to freshen up the home page with spring flowers. Enjoying the unseasonably warm weather we've been having in Minneapolis. Last week I took my bike in for a tune up. Time to start riding.

    My knee is much better. Some days, I don't even notice it! I think that biking helped alot. And shorter walks, shorter than 3 miles anyway. I think the snowshoes and I are going to be friends this weekend :-)

    I am on a break of sorts, still trying to eat sensibly, but not logging my food. Exercise is down because of the weather and Christmas projects.

    But I need to buckle down soon. My weight is creeping up and my back problems are returning. I hope it is the weight, not something more serious.

    Hope your holiday season is going well. Keep trying to rekindle the spark. We have not failed as long as we keep striving and trying. We can do it!

    My Hunny just had knee surgery last week and that's how I feel, like all my ornaments are dangling and banging around by life's hard knocks. tee-hee-hee So if I sound or look loopy to you, that's why.
