I am 60 years old. I am a nurse and provide nursing care to residents of a vocational service center/group homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities. I''m on a weight loss journey and have lost 74 pounds so far.

My Goals:
I am committing to exercising with weights at least three days a week and using my treadmill on days I don't do weights.

My Program:
 I am using Venus diet and Exercise and do Metabolic Aftershock exercises. I am tracking my diet, exercise, and blood glucose daily.


Personal Information:
I am from Eastern Iowa next to the Mississippi River. I am married and have two children of my own and four wonderful stepsons. I have a total of 10 grandchildren.

Other Information:
 I love to read, fantasy, and science fiction, mysteries, and science. I like to always be learning something new. Hate stupid sit-coms (Except the Big Bang Theory). I love to do fabric crafts, crochet, flower arranging,

    Thanks for the comment on the caregivers thread. It feels so weird to have caregiving end, and I have to rearrange my life now as a single person. Planning funeral yet to come. I am glad I have a wonderful church family.

    well we live on a gravel road outside of town, but get rides from friends when we need something. James wants to live out here but i wish we lived in town. No buses or taxi there but I could walk to things at least. Just taking it one day at a time.
