Hi, I am Joanne, a 45 year old mother of two girls. I live in NY and have decided it was time to change my unhealthy lifestyle and kick my type 2 diabetes to the curb. I'm excited to have found sparkpeople and hope it is the tool that changes my life forever!

Hi, I am Joanne, a 45 year old mother of two girls. I live in NY and have decided it was time to change my unhealthy lifestyle and kick my type 2 diabetes to the curb. I'm excited to have found sparkpeople and hope it is the tool that changes my life forever!

I have lost and gained hundreds of pounds over the years, and my goal is to lose this excess weight and keep it off forever. I want to be a positive role model for my kids, regain my self confidence, get rid of my high cholesterol and diabetes.

I came very close to having lap band surgery, but decided against it and would rather lose weight the healthy way.

My Goals:
Lose weight
Get rid of my type 2 diabetes
Lower my cholesterol
Lower triglycerides
Just be healthy
Have more energy


My Program:
 I plan on exercising a minimum of 4 times a week. I also plan on eating healthy and will probably follow a weight watchers like program for eating. I promise to drink more water too!
