By my senior year of college in 2011 I had gained 40lbs since 2007. (I was wearing a size 17 pants at my heaviest) I took a course entitled "Healthy Ways for Weight Loss Management for Women". Part of the course required us to use SparkPeople to track our food intake. It was then that I realized how distorted my portions were. I was living on a diet of 4-8 servings of meat a day! When my professor dared us to just *TRY* to cut red meat and poultry out of our diets I took up her offer. Since March 3, 2011 I have been a Pescetarian.

Pescetarianism is the practice of a diet that includes seafood but not the flesh of other animals. A pescetarian diet shares many of its components with a vegetarian diet and includes vegetables, fruit, nuts, grains, beans, eggs, and dairy, but unlike a vegetarian diet also includes fish and shellfish.

I stand at 4'11". At my highest weight in college I was 175lbs (As shown in the picture on the left). When I decided to go pescetarian I weighed 156lbs. On a good day I now clock in at 132lbs (size 8 pants). I have lost 40 lbs thanks to sparkpeople!

I am getting back into SparkPeople because my weight has been fluctuating, and I haven't seen any loss in a few months. I also feel that if I have an audience I'm more likely not to secretly eat cookies at midnight, or stop by taco bell on my way home from work.
