I have made many excuses over the years about why I am overweight. I have finally come to the conclusion that there is only one valid excuse and that is that I make them at all. READY, SET, GO! Wish me success!

I would like to have a "taste" for eating healthy rather than forcing myself to eat things I don't necessarily like. My goal is to make regular exercise an integral part of my life rather than a spark that fizzles after some time.

In order to meet my goals I will get in at least 300 minutes of activity a week. I will not overeat. I will not overdo snacks/treats. I will respect my body by making far better choices of what I put in it. On a daily basis I will write, read, watch, study or listen to anything that will keep me motivated.

I have been married to my husband for almost twenty years. We have two children, a boy and a girl of both whom are excellent athletes. Someday I hope to grow up to be just like them.

My favorite bible scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7 Paul says to Timothy, "For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and a sound mind.
