Introduction Text I'm almost 41, have 3 children(and 2 step children) and need to lose over a 100 pounds to be at a healthy weight. I'm hoping that joining Spark People will be the motivation I need to accomplish my goals. My baby is now almost 5 and instead of the scale going down it has gone back up. At 6 weeks postbaby I was lighter than I had been in 2 years. Since then the pounds have come back on, It is a new day here though. I am getting set to lose the weight. I am looking forward to being a healhty me for myself and my wonderful family. I know it will take me time and effort to get where I want to be but I am willing to put it into me. For the first time in years I am looking forward to changing what and how much of it I eat. It will be hard at first but I know each day will get easier. I know I will slip up at times but also know that with each slip up I will become stronger and be able to get back on the weight loss wagon much quicker. I know I can do this. I am going to do this. The new healthy me is on the way. Well I keep coming back saying I am ready but now it is not just me saying it. I have to do this. At the end of the year I have my yearly check up and if I don't do get myself under control and on the right track I am afraid I will have to add another doctor to my list of people to see on a regular basis, the endocrinologist. I am fearful that my weight is going to lead me to diabetes type 2. I can change this. I will change this. Well at that check up everything was still good for me! Unfortunately for me I didn't change anything and still have not lost any of the weight and my check up will be coming up soon again and I would at least like to weigh less than what I did a year ago. Each year it gets harder and harder to lose the weight but this is the year for me, I can feel it. I promised myself that by my 40th birthday I would be at my goal weight. I don't think I will be at my final goal weight by then because I haven't worked hard enough but I can be close and am sure going to try to be closest to my final goal than I have been since I started on Spark! I need to lose weight for me and for my family. I want to be healthier to enjoy my children. My goal weight is to get down to 140 pounds(or less if possible) First goal-240 pounds GW2-225 pounds GW3-210 pounds GW4-195 pounds GW5-180 pounds

Try to fit in 30 minutes of physical activity a minimum of 3 times a week.
