Summer 2018:

Taking a few steps back from daily tracking and going inward. I think it will be helpful to identify, and heal, some of the inner thought processes that "feed" my eating patterns and self destructive thoughts and actions.

Meanwhile, working toward intuitive eating and trying hard to regulate glucose levels. I'll be on SP erratically but will always answer messages and page comments. :)

Some things about me:

Name: You can call me "Night," or you can call me "Glow," but please don't call me late for dinner! Bwaaaaa ha ha! Sigh.

AGE: Like a fine, red wine.

STATE: Confusion. Though sometimes I'm in Cognito.

MARRIED/SINGLE/OTHER: I'll take the sampler plate, please.

KIDS/ANIMALS: Yes, Yes they are.

HOBBIES: Believing that thinking about the gym is the same as going to the gym. And a lot of singing. And occasional silliness.

TYPE OF WORK: I'm a lumberjack. It's okay.

FAVORITE THINGS whiskers on kittens and passion and love and hip hop. And lemons. Lots and lots of lemons.

These are not sporty things. I am not Sporty Spice. Why doesn't "keyboarding" count as exercise? Web-surfing? That should count for something. Am I right?

My Goals:
SP is right. I need to have concrete goals in order to achieve them. I think I'm just afraid to make them and fail. Stay tuned....

My tracker is a lie! I have miles to go before I sleep (or hit maintenance.) I just wanted to start with something attainable.

Striving for balance between "eating healthfully" and "being obsessed." Learning to be gentle and forgiving with myself . Trying to stay steady on the path.

I changed my username! I like this one better and am working on increasing and bringing out my "inner glow." So there.

I accidentally reset all of my SPARK goals! While I'm sad to lose the past year of tracking, this is a fresh start. And who doesn't need a fresh start?

My Program:
Vegan for life and for all lives.
Working to be healthful, mindful, and not eat all the Oreos.

Personal Information:
Oakland roots. Living in Coast Salish lands (the Pacific Northwest).

Other Information:
Reykjavík is the capital of Iceland.

I remember commenting on a blog or maybe even an article about loose skin but I can not recall the details of it. I think it was someone mentioning having it or not having it removed and I just said I have lots of it and would not consider having it removed as I look at it as my trophy. I did add that maybe I would have considered it at a much younger age but def not at my age now.

If I ever come across it again I'll def let you know. Hope you are well and taking care of yourself . Stay in touch hon and so will I. emoticon

Heya! Not sure I could do intuitive eating as successfully on junkier foods, but once I stopped eating deep-fried sugar bombs, I suddenly don't feel guilty when I eat, or eat to satisfaction, or eat delicious things, and so somehow, the impetus and energy behind binging and deprivation just kind of dissipated. Does that make any sense?

(I think some people would say that not eating junk when I want junk means I'm not actually eating intuitively, but it works for me -- I eat whenever I'm hungry, eat until I'm comfortably filled, and stop before I get uncomfortably full. Every single time. To me, that's almost a miracle.)
