Hello Sparkling people,
I have joined SparkPeople to recapture good health and receive encouragement while I lose the weight that I need to lose.

I have to say that I am very disappointed in myself. My husband and I have had financial difficulties for two years. With hubby at home, angry and depressed over the US economic situation, I have gained almost 40 lbs!!! OMG!!! As you can see, I signed up for SparkPeople a few years ago but have not been committed. Now due to health concerns, I am being strongly encouraged by my physican to take care of business.

Ultimately I want to feel alive again with more energy, feel healthier, and look better.
Plus ..... I have no clothes to wear!! :o(

ABOUT ME:
Hello....I'm Christine, married, I work part-time as a Database Manager/Data Entry guru for a wonderful and very large church here in Tampa...

DIET INFORMATION
Following Weight Watchers flex plan
Official start date: July 7, 2010
1st Goal lose 20 lbs = 10%
2nd goal - lose total 25 lbs by __________
Final goal - lose 66 lbs by March 15, 2011

My Goals:
Working on rebuilding my self esteem...

1st step is to lose 25 lbs by Christmas 2009.

2nd step is to lose total of 35 lbs by March 15, 2010.

Boy do I need encouragement! I have seriously taken the wrong direction and gained even more weight. Gotta make these changes NOW!!


My Program:
Focus on one day at a time.
60 min of cardio
5x per wk. (treadmill
(30 min in a.m.
& 30 min in p.m.)

Strength training 3x per wk.

Drink 8-8oz glasses of water daily. (oh this is going to be hard for me.)

Cut soda to no more than 1 caffeine free/diet per day.



Personal Information:
I started gaining weight after having my last child just 6 years ago, and making a big change in my career.

I'm concerned about my health issues. (BP/diabetes/cholesterol)

I am a new grandmother and want to feel healthy and sexy. (I'm only 44 so I'm sure you can understand why!)

    I think you're doing great! Your starting weight is a lot lower than mine, so you're already ahead of me. Our goal weights are almost the same. Hang in there-- we can do this together.

    Hi Christine! I know we BOTH can do this. Work on your points, I find that helps keep me focused on the steps. I'm not seeing the scale move yet but have lost inches so that is a good thing. This is the best thing you can do for your children and future grandchild and you'll have so much more energy!
